We highly recommend following our Pad Preparation guide. This will ensure no delays on the day of installation.
Prepare a tank pad with crusher dust, 2 metres larger in diameter than the chosen tank (4 metres larger for a HGT375). The tank pad will need to be at least 150mm thick and clear of any vegetation, tree roots etc. Ensure these are completely removed with no chance of growing back.
The preferred base material must be below 5mm whether its sand or crusher dust, free of any sharp objects, clay lumps stones etc.
Important: your tank pad must be level – please double check before arrival of our team.
If a site cut has been performed, or cut into an incline and filled, ensure that there is adequate compaction. Adequate drainage will also be needed to divert water away from the tank.
Please Note: Pad preparation must meet these standards. If necessary, for our installers to leave site and reschedule a new installation date due to the site not being prepared to the above specifications, additional charges (travel, wages accommodation etc) will apply.
10% of water must be placed in the tank, after installation. This is to be supplied by the purchaser. Please let us know if you would like us to organise your water (Additional charges will apply). if no water is supplied after installation, this will void your warranty.
If prior arrangement of fitting locations has not been made, please ensure someone is available onsite to advise where the fittings need to be placed on the water tank.
Full payment of the tank and our services must be made on the day of install.
75mm thick x 400mm Blue Metal or Crushed Rock (3/4 or 20mm) will need to be placed around the total circumference of the tank base. This is required to stop erosion from water run off or strong wind (If Blue Metal is not placed around the tank after installation, this will void your warranty). If you have any questions as to how much material is required, please do not hesitate to give us a call.
